Five ISS Astronauts Take Shelter in SpaceX Crew Dragon as Russian Cosmonauts Repair Station Leak

According to NASA, five of the seven International Space Station crew members sought refuge inside a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule on Friday morning around 9 am EST as two Russian cosmonauts worked on an air leak on the Russian segment. NASA ordered US astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, French astronaut Sophie Adenot, Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, and US astronaut Chris Williams into the Dragon spacecraft. A NASA spokesperson attributed the emergency shelter order to repairs on persistent air leaks in Russia's Zvezda Service Module, which engineers believe are caused by microscopic cracks in the structure.
