Franklin Templeton: Blockchain and Crypto to Benefit From Agent AI Adoption

According to CoinDesk, Sandy Kaul, head of digital assets and innovation at Franklin Templeton, recently argued that blockchain networks and cryptocurrencies could become the next major investment opportunity as agent AI systems begin transacting with each other.

Kaul noted that agent AI executing complex tasks like booking travel and purchasing computing resources will rely on micro-transactions below one cent, which traditional payment networks cannot efficiently handle due to high fees. Blockchain offers a viable alternative, requiring agent AI to hold cryptocurrency to pay network fees, thereby driving demand growth.
