Gate News: Gate official announcement as of May 7, 2025
Gate has officially launched localized fiat on-ramp channels for some CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries. This move targets the region’s growing demand for buying crypto assets, aiming to remove cross-border transaction barriers by enabling users to purchase mainstream crypto assets directly using local currencies and familiar payment methods.
The platform supports mainstream local payment channels such as bank real-time transfers and bank cards, effectively reducing the high fees and delays commonly associated with cross-border transfers. In addition, users can enjoy zero cross-border trading fees through local direct trading, with support for local languages and a fully localized experience.
In the CIS region, the current daily crypto trading volume is about $650 million, with active users numbering in the millions.
