According to the Robert Koch Institute, Germany estimated that approximately 5,100 deaths occurred in June due to heat-related factors, significantly higher than the annual average of around 2,900 deaths from 2023 to 2025. The majority of deaths concentrated during June 22-28, when 4,310 people died as temperatures in some regions exceeded 40 degrees Celsius during the peak heat wave.
