Hapag-Lloyd Increases Peak Season Surcharge to $500 per TEU on Northern Europe-US Route from Aug 10

According to Hapag-Lloyd's announcement, the shipping line will increase its peak season surcharge (PSS) on the Northern Europe to U.S. route, effective August 10, 2026. The surcharge will apply to all dry containers, reefers, and special containers at $500 per standard container. Other fees including freight rates, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, terminal handling charges, and local surcharges remain in effect as previously announced.
