According to President Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia will halt all diesel imports starting July 2026, becoming the first country to mass-produce B50 biodiesel from palm oil. The President's office stated that Indonesia has successfully achieved self-sufficient diesel fuel production through its B50 biofuel policy. The government will redirect funds previously spent on overseas fuel purchases toward domestic agricultural development. Additionally, Indonesia launched the E10 gasoline program, which blends 10% bioethanol as a transition measure toward fuller bioethanol fuel adoption.
