According to Jin10, Iran's Interior Minister Momeni visited Pakistan on July 21 to advance bilateral trade cooperation and discuss regional developments. During talks with Pakistani officials in Islamabad, Momeni stated the visit aimed to strengthen Iran-Pakistan relations and implement agreements signed by both countries' leaders in June, including increasing bilateral trade from approximately $3 billion to $10 billion.
The Iranian delegation included officials from foreign affairs, oil, industry, finance, agriculture, and transportation sectors. Discussions also covered a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding being promoted by Pakistan and current regional tensions.
