London Stock Exchange Launches LSE 24 for Near-Continuous Trading, Testing Begins End-2026

London Stock Exchange announced LSE 24, a new regulated trading venue offering near-continuous trading five days a week, with client testing scheduled to begin by end-2026 and commercial launch targeted for H1 2027, subject to regulatory approval.

LSE 24 will operate from 17:00 to 07:50 UK time (Monday to Friday) alongside the Main Market's standard 08:00-16:30 session, providing almost continuous weekday access to London-listed instruments. The venue will initially focus on exchange-traded products before expanding to equities. Distinctive features include native connectivity for AI and algorithmic trading, allowing software agents to interact directly with market data and execution systems within a regulated framework, and planned integration with LSEG's Digital Securities Depository for digital settlement.
