GateNews
Maersk announced today, May 26, the launch of the FI2 shipping service, a new weekly direct route connecting China and India. The service will be operated by six vessels, with the maiden westbound voyage departing Shanghai on June 4, 2026. The FI2 itinerary includes calls at Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Tanjung Pelepas, Nava Shewa, Pipavav, and Kassim Port. The route is designed to serve growing China-India trade demand, offering shorter transit times especially for high-value and time-sensitive cargo such as automotive components and new energy materials.
