Microsoft Sought $92 Billion Return From OpenAI Investment, CEO Testifies in Court

According to Bloomberg, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella testified in federal court in Oakland, California that the company sought a $92 billion return on its early OpenAI investments, based on 2023 planning documents. Microsoft invested approximately $13 billion in OpenAI through early 2023 and received a 27% stake in the AI company as part of its restructuring.
