Nvidia Invests $5 Billion in Safe Superintelligence, Grants Vera Rubin GPU Access

According to Crypto Briefing, Nvidia has invested $5 billion in Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), a non-profit AI safety research lab founded by former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever. The investment grants SSI access to Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin GPU platform.

SSI operates with a small team across Palo Alto and Tel Aviv and has explicitly refused to build commercial products or pursue revenue. Prior to this Nvidia commitment, SSI had raised approximately $6 billion from investors including Greenoaks Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, and Alphabet, bringing the company's current valuation to $32 billion.
