According to Palestinian UN observer Riyad Mansour on June 4, Israeli forces have occupied 60% of Gaza, with a stated target of 70%, while illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank have fragmented the region into northern and southern sections. Mansour told media at the UN headquarters that the settlement expansion poses a fatal threat to the two-state solution and called on U.S. President Trump to prevent Israel from annexing Palestinian territories.
