Polymarket Flagged $200M in Bets Showing Insider Trading Traits Over 6 Months

According to Bloomberg, from January to June 2026, approximately $200 million in bets on Polymarket were flagged as showing suspected insider trading characteristics, with activity concentrated on geopolitical events including Iran and Venezuela. Data showed 57% of profitable wallets were created within 24 hours before trading, with some linked wallets gaining approximately $1.6 million from bets tied to U.S. military operations. Polymarket said it has strengthened monitoring mechanisms and submitted nearly 100 suspicious wallet addresses to law enforcement.
