RBC Raises S&P 500 Target to 8,150, Up 10.8% From Friday Close, on Monday

According to RBC Capital Markets strategist Lori Calvasina, on Monday (June 30), the firm raised its S&P 500 index target for the next 12 months by 250 points to 8,150. Relative to Friday's close, the updated target implies 10.8% upside. Calvasina noted in a research note to clients that while the forecast remains optimistic but grounded, equity markets should trend higher over the next year, though the path "will not be a straight line." RBC flagged that market volatility is unavoidable during the advance.
