According to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, the University of Kansas unveiled a multi-year partnership with Ripple this month, making Kansas Jayhawks the first major college athletics program to feature a cryptocurrency brand on official game jerseys. XRP patches will appear on uniforms across multiple sports and on authentic jerseys sold through the university's official store, debuting this fall.
The partnership, brokered by Learfield, extends beyond branding. Ripple will fund financial literacy initiatives for Kansas student-athletes and create internships, professional networking opportunities, and technology-focused career pathways for University of Kansas graduates.
