Sumsub and Chainlink recently launched a cross-chain identity verification framework designed to enable compliance-compliant user verification across blockchain networks without exposing personal data. The system connects Sumsub's verification infrastructure with Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine, allowing users to complete identity verification once and reuse the credential across multiple platforms and wallets on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, and Base.
Ilya Brovin, Chief Growth Officer at Sumsub, stated: "Digital asset markets need identity verification that can extend into compliant on-chain workflows without forcing users through repeated onboarding." Ishan Vishnoi, Vice President of Product and Business Operations at Chainlink Labs, added: "This is the kind of scalable, privacy-preserving compliance infrastructure needed to unlock tokenized assets at institutional scale." The framework supports permissioned asset access and is rolling out initially to retail users, with future phases targeting institutional participants.
