According to a King’s College London survey released on May 19, a majority of British workers predict large-scale unemployment as artificial intelligence becomes more widespread. The research found that one-fifth of respondents believe AI-induced joblessness could trigger social unrest.
The survey indicated that occupations such as plumbing are considered relatively secure, while entry-level white-collar positions face higher risk. However, British workers express relatively low personal concern about threats to their own employment.
