TCS Plans to Build Team of Up to 8,900 AI Engineers on July 12

According to Reuters, on July 12, India's largest software services firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) plans to build a team of 5,900 to 8,900 forward-deployed AI engineers, representing 1% to 1.5% of its workforce, CEO K Krithivasan said. The company is also evaluating acquisitions in AI, data security, and cybersecurity.

Meanwhile, TCS's annualized AI revenue growth slowed to 13% in the first quarter from 28% in the previous quarter, Krithivasan noted.
