Tesla booked a $112 million after-tax loss on its Bitcoin holdings in Q2 and sold zero coins. Its 11,509 BTC sat untouched as Bitcoin fell roughly 14% from about $83,000 in early April to $58,000 by June 30, reducing the position's value to $674 million from $786 million in March.

Meanwhile, Strategy, the company that built its identity on never selling Bitcoin, offloaded 3,588 BTC for roughly $216 million between June 29 and July 5 to fund preferred dividends, selling at an average price of $60,773, below its $75,476 cost basis.
