Trump Administration Demands Iran Commit to Ceasing Strait Attacks by Saturday

According to Axios, the Trump administration has demanded that Iran make a public statement by Saturday confirming the Strait of Hormuz remains open and pledging to stop attacking commercial vessels. U.S. officials said the demand was conveyed through direct channels and regional mediators.

Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi and Oman's Foreign Minister Busaidi are expected to meet Saturday in Muscat to discuss the strait situation. The U.S. hopes Iran will issue a public commitment to cease attacks following that meeting.
