According to Financial Times, Ukrainian weapons manufacturer Fire Point launched two satellites in 2026 and plans to launch dozens more in 2027 to reduce dependence on the U.S. government and Western technology companies. Co-founder and chief designer Denys Shtilierman said the company is also expanding production of cruise and ballistic missiles while developing a “pan-European air defense shield” to avoid reliance on specific manufacturers.
