According to Yonhapinfomax, U.S. 10-year Treasury yields rose by 2.50 basis points to 4.567% on July 20 (EDT morning), while 2-year yields climbed 2.60 basis points to 4.198%. Bond prices fell as inflation concerns stemmed from intensifying U.S.-Iran military operations and Houthi forces' declaration to blockade the Red Sea around Saudi Arabia.

The U.S. military completed nine consecutive days of airstrikes targeting Iran's military capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz region. Meanwhile, Iranian naval forces allegedly struck two tankers transiting through the strait. In response, Pakistan and Qatar proposed negotiations to resume U.S.-Iran talks, with WTI crude oil August futures declining 0.79% to $81.84 per barrel.
