U.S. Beef Retail Prices Hit Record High of $7.056 Per Pound in April, Up 2.8%

According to Golden Ten Data, U.S. beef retail prices hit a record high of $7.056 per pound in April, up 2.8% month-over-month. The price surge reflects persistent supply tightness in the American beef market. Data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture showed that in the first quarter of 2026, the U.S. imported nearly 600,000 tons of beef and beef products, a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
