U.S. Energy Inflation Rises 17.9% Year-over-Year in April, Up from 12.5% in March

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, American energy inflation rose 17.9% year-over-year in April, up from 12.5% in March. On a seasonally adjusted basis, energy inflation increased 3.8% month-over-month in April, compared to 10.9% in March. Energy commodities inflation climbed 29.2% annually, while gasoline and fuel oil inflation reached 28.4% and 54.3% respectively.
