U.S. Conducts 11th Consecutive Night of Airstrikes on Iranian Targets on July 22

According to U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, the U.S. military conducted its 11th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iranian targets on July 22, citing Iran's failure to meet Strait of Hormuz commitments. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the strikes targeted Iranian military operations centers, unmanned drone storage facilities, and military logistics infrastructure.

Rubio stated that while the U.S. remains committed to diplomatic solutions, Iran is not seriously engaged in negotiations. The core disagreement centers on Iran's demand for control over Strait of Hormuz shipping management rights, which Rubio said violates international law. Both sides signed a temporary memorandum on June 17 that included a 60-day negotiation window, but interpret the agreement differently regarding management authority and fee collection.
