According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), retail gasoline prices are forecast to average $3.80 per gallon in the third quarter of 2026, declining to approximately $3.40 per gallon in Q4 2026 and to below $3.10 per gallon for the full year 2027, according to its short-term energy outlook report released on July 8.
