U.S. Energy Secretary Wright announced on Friday, May 15, that the U.S. will replenish strategic petroleum reserve (SPR) releases at a ratio of 1.2 barrels returned for every 1 barrel released. Wright stated that the administration will ultimately restore SPR to higher levels than before the release campaign began.
