US, Israel May Resume Military Strikes on Iran Earliest Next Week, Pentagon Preparing

According to U.S. sources, the Pentagon is preparing to resume military operations against Iran, with the U.S. and Israel potentially launching strikes as early as next week on May 16. Multiple American officials disclosed two main military options: one involves intensified bombing of Iranian military and infrastructure targets; the other entails deploying special operations forces on the ground to secure Iranian nuclear materials. U.S. officials acknowledged the latter option carries substantial risks. Since the ceasefire began in early April, the U.S. has resupplied ammunition for regional warships and aircraft.
