According to Bitcoin.com News, U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds posted $465 million in combined outflows on July 23-24, snapping a seven-day inflow streak. Redemptions totaled $225.1 million on July 23 and $240.08 million on July 24, ending a run that had pulled in nearly $1 billion over the prior week. Bitcoin traded near $65,300 following the outflows, bouncing between $63,700 and $65,400 during the period.

Ethra Invest CEO Saeed Al-Marri told Forbes that recent pullbacks stem from forced liquidations rather than broad asset exits, noting longs are being liquidated six times as often as shorts. The August 12 Consumer Price Index print is flagged as the next key catalyst, as hot inflation could pressure the Federal Reserve to hold rates higher, potentially tightening liquidity conditions.
