U.S. Stocks Close Mixed Overnight; Energy Futures Drop 2%+ as Commodities Fall

According to Jin10, on June 9, U.S. stocks closed with mixed results overnight. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.17% to 50,872.11 points, while the S&P 500 fell 0.26% to 7,386.65 points and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.97% to 25,678.82 points. The Magnificent Seven index declined 1.24%, with Apple losing over 3% and Tesla falling 3%.

Energy futures declined sharply, with WTI crude oil futures dropping 2.85% to $88.7 per barrel and Brent crude sliding 2.57% to $91.83 per barrel. COMEX gold futures fell 1.80% to $4,284.80 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures declined 4.56% to $65.46 per ounce.
