According to Jin10 data, the US strategic petroleum reserves dropped to their lowest level since October 2024 last week (May 5–11), marking the largest weekly decline since August 1982. The drawdown extended a streak of seven consecutive weeks of declines. Meanwhile, US crude oil production reached its highest level since mid-February, and domestic gasoline inventories fell for the 13th consecutive week.
