Gate News message, April 22 — Vitalik Buterin stated in a dialogue with Xiao Feng that mature post-quantum cryptography solutions already exist, expressing a preference for the GeoHash algorithm. He noted that Ethereum’s vision extends beyond merely becoming a post-quantum chain—the network also aims to resist AI-related threats.

Buterin highlighted that recent hacking incidents have been severe and emphasized the importance of leveraging AI and formal verification methods to enhance smart contract security. He observed that in the AI era, secure code will become even more secure, while poorly written code will become increasingly vulnerable. Ethereum possesses significant security advantages, though challenges remain in protocol selection.
