Wafer Foundry Costs Drive Display Driver IC Prices Higher in H2 2026: Omdia

According to Omdia's latest report, Display Driver IC (DDIC) prices are rising in the second half of 2026 due to tightening wafer foundry capacity and increasing semiconductor manufacturing costs. Wafer foundry represents the largest cost component for DDIC manufacturers, accounting for 60%-70% of total costs, with silicon wafer costs alone representing approximately 40%. The research firm expects continued foundry price increases to support further DDIC price gains despite weaker market demand.
