According to Bloomberg, humanoid robot startup Walden Robotics, spun out from Toyota's robotics lab, completed a $300 million seed round on July 16, 2026, valuing the company at $1.1 billion. The round was co-led by Deviation Capital and Toyota, with participation from Nvidia, Boeing, AE Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and CoreWeave Ventures.

Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Walden develops humanoid robots designed for manufacturing and logistics facilities. The company has begun pilot deployments at North American Toyota factories, with robots handling repetitive tasks in assembly and facility maintenance operations.
