Wavemaker Ventures Leads $4M Funding Round in DataMasque

Wavemaker Ventures led a US$4 million funding round in DataMasque, an Auckland-based data de-identification and synthetic data platform founded in 2021. Existing investors OIF Ventures and Icehouse Ventures also participated, and Wavemaker Partners co-founder Paul Santos joined DataMasque's board. The platform helps enterprises mask sensitive data and generate synthetic datasets for AI training, testing, and analytics, with customers including New York Life, ADP, Best Western Hotels, and government agencies across New Zealand, Australia, and the US. DataMasque plans to expand in Singapore.
