According to World Foundation announcement on July 24, the organization raised $52.5 million in a strategic WLD token sale led by Pantera Capital, with all tokens locked for 12 months. Other investors included Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings, Selini Capital, and Susquehanna Crypto. The capital will support global deployment of World ID technology across commercial platforms like Zoom, Docusign, Okta, and Tinder. World ID has registered over 39 million users, with more than 18 million completing Orb biometric verification.
Adoption is expected to accelerate following the release of World ID 4.0, an enterprise-grade update designed for high-scale integrations and third-party developer support within the World architecture.
