According to Korea Exchange, WTI crude oil exchange-traded notes (ETNs) surged to July highs on July 24, with Meritz Leverage WTI Crude Oil Futures ETN(H) climbing 69% since June 30. Shinhan Bloomberg Leverage WTI Crude Oil Futures ETN B gained 61.1%, while Samsung, Hanwha, and KB S&P variants each rose 60.6%–60.8%. Seven of the top 10 ETNs by monthly return are crude-linked products, vastly outperforming the KOSPI index, which fell 21%.
September WTI crude futures soared 33% to $92.19 per barrel as of July 23 (local time), while Brent crude jumped 38% to $100.69, marking the first break above $100 in nearly two months, according to NYMEX data.
