On May 18, xAI, the AI company backed by Elon Musk, unveiled the “Skills” feature across web, iOS, and Android platforms. The feature grants Grok persistent memory across conversations, enabling the AI assistant to retain user-defined task procedures, formatting preferences, and workflow steps permanently. Once a user teaches Grok a specific task workflow, the AI will remember these instructions in all subsequent independent conversations, eliminating the need for users to repeatedly provide detailed prompts or context setup.
