According to official weather forecasts, Typhoon Bawei (the 9th Super Typhoon of 2026), generated on July 2, is expected to approach the Zhejiang coast between July 10-11 evening, potentially crossing northern Taiwan or making landfall. In response, Zhejiang's provincial emergency management and water resources departments have instructed local authorities to prepare for the most adverse scenario—a direct hit by a super typhoon cutting across the entire province.
