Zcash Foundation releases 2026 strategic priorities: Zebra, FROST, and privacy protection assistance programs

Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Zcash Foundation has released its strategic priorities for 2026, which include:

Achieving Zebra as the sole consensus node: focusing on performance enhancement, completing the NU7 ZIP implementation, and promoting the Z3 technology stack to replace zcashd;
Continuing to advance the FROST threshold signature scheme: planning to release version v3, finalize ZIP-312, and introduce a Distributed Key Generation (DKG) protocol;
Privacy Protection Assistance Program: promoting the “privacy by default” digital cash aid model and exploring zero-knowledge proof-based identity solutions to balance compliance, accountability, and privacy protection.
