Odaily Planet Daily reports that Venezuelan police have arrested Rosa María González, a suspect in the Generación Zoe scam case, in San Cristóbal. The scam resulted in investor losses of at least $120 million. Leonardo Cositorto, head of Generación Zoe, previously stated that Rosa María González escaped with 611 Bitcoins after the project’s collapse in mid-2022, worth approximately $56 million at the time. Investigations show that Generación Zoe attracted investors by promising returns of up to 7.5%, but was actually a Ponzi scheme. Rosa María González claimed that the trading algorithm she developed had quantum-safe features, with monthly returns of up to 70%. During her escape from Venezuela, she allegedly planned a new scam project, promising a minimum investment of $1000 and a monthly return of 5%. Currently, diplomatic relations between Argentina and Venezuela are tense, and extradition procedures face difficulties.
