Hong Kong hosts the INTERPOL Cybercrime Expert Group Annual Meeting, focusing on topics such as virtual asset tracking

Deep Tide TechFlow News, on February 3rd, according to China News Service, the “Annual Meeting of the INTERPOL Cybercrime Experts Group” was held for the first time in Hong Kong, with over 120 participants including law enforcement officials, industry experts, and representatives from international organizations from more than 30 countries and regions. The conference focused on “Combating the Industrialization of Cybercrime,” covering topics such as cybercrime ecology and virtual asset tracking.\n\nHong Kong Police Commissioner Chris Tang stated that the Hong Kong Police have taken note of emerging trends in virtual asset-related crimes. Last year, they established a Virtual Asset Intelligence Task Force with Web3.0 industry practitioners as a public-private partnership platform to jointly address technical challenges. The police also developed a virtual asset tracking system that visually presents the investigation process of virtual assets to fully support investigators. Neal Jetton, head of cybercrime at INTERPOL, expressed hope that the conference will promote practical solutions and joint actions to effectively combat cybercrime.
