US President Donald Trump announced that they have postponed attacks on Iran and held discussions regarding ending the war. Following the announcement, Bitcoin again rose above $70,000. Brent crude oil, however, experienced a sharp decline. Meanwhile, Iran rejected the talks.
Donald Trump stated that discussions were held about ending the war with Iran. With Trump's post on his Truth Social account, Bitcoin again rose above $70,000.
Expressing that they had good and constructive talks, Trump announced that they are postponing potential attacks on energy facilities for a period of 5 days:
"US and Iran, I am pleased to announce that over the past 2 days, we have conducted positive and constructive discussions aimed at ending the war in the Middle East. These detailed, in-depth, and constructive discussions will continue throughout this week. Therefore, I have ordered the Department of Defense to postpone all attacks on Iran’s energy facilities for 5 days."
