JUST IN: Reddit announced new human verification requirements for accounts exhibiting suspicious behavior, in an effort to curb bots, spam, and manipulation without imposing blanket controls or sacrificing the platform's characteristic anonymity.

Reddit will begin requiring proof of human presence only for accounts that show suspicious signs of automation.
