In terms of news, since March, the bromine market has entered a new round of sharp price hikes. According to data from Business Society, on March 26, the bromine quotation was 63.1 thousand yuan/ton, up 52.78% compared with the beginning of the month, with a cumulative gain of over 75% year-to-date.
Galaxy Securities analysts said that with the escalation of geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East, on the one hand, it is not ruled out that some bromine production facilities in Israel may reduce load or shut down temporarily, thereby potentially causing a supply gap for bromine; on the other hand, logistics costs for bromine exports from Israel and Jordan are expected to rise significantly, and the bromine transportation cycle also faces considerable uncertainty. The bromine price center is expected to move up accordingly.
