Feels like phishing scams are everywhere lately

Not sure if it’s just my bubble, but it really does feel like the frequency is up?
The world is getting bleaker and times are tough
• More job cuts/ lack of jobs/ layoffs
• Cost of living is significantly up, not to mention this war
• Prob a lot more (evil) people are extremely desperate these days
When legit ways to make money feel slower and harder, some people naturally take this ugly shortcut of scamming
At the same time, more older people are online now too since everything is through the internet (banking, investing, digital Ids, WhatsApp, email) --> but they aren't necessary internet-savvy = vulnerable targets
All they need is just one slip up from you, one fake link, one message that looks real enough (some emails these days look extremely real)
