scam attempt n°8
We all know the @tyler & @cameron story.
Someone claiming to be on their team reached out.
Business development for @winklevosscap.
I was offered a very lucrative position.
I requested the official account to verify via dm.
Instead, I was diverted to chat with said person in TG.
Already an ocean of red flags, I went along.
There was something I wanted to test.
The person asked for personal details about me.
I made up a fake story, they showed interest.
He said the team would like to talk to me.
Shared a link. Team is waiting for me.
I told him I don't click on links.
I sent him a google meet link.
He states it does not work in China.
His link is safe, I shall click it.
Told him it did not work, I tried.
When I did, this new link I shared came up.
Send him a link a dev prepared for me.
That link installs a something on your computer.
Don't ask me how, but it copies all memory.
Before erasing it, that copy is transfered.
The chat instantly deleted afterwards.
Account on X is gone as well.
