France is starting to get serious this time.

On one side, they are watching stablecoins, clearly not wanting US dollar stablecoins to be used casually as a payment tool in Europe, feeling that the current regulations are still not strict enough, and are adding more restrictions.
On the other side, it's more direct—if your wallet balance exceeds 5,000 euros, you have to report it.
They're no longer just monitoring exchanges; they're beginning to look at individuals.
My personal feeling is a bit tangled but also very real.
They talk about openness but are tightening restrictions layer by layer.
Many people used to think that the blockchain was their own territory, but now it’s clear that they will still watch what needs to be watched.
The idea of a completely unregulated environment is basically a pipe dream.
But it also shows one thing: the money has indeed come in, or they wouldn’t be scrutinizing so closely.
