Based on the current (Saturday, April 11) BTC sideways range of $72,000-$73,000, the core tone for Monday’s (April 13) opening is: “ETF funds returning to test the waters, with bulls and bears fighting over the $73,000 level.”
Monday’s script: first retrace, then decide
Morning momentum (9:00-12:00): Due to weekend liquidity exhaustion, within 1-2 hours after Monday’s opening, there is a high probability that the market will first “repair” the weekend’s narrow fluctuations. If the weekend close is at the upper end of the range (above $73,000), the price tends to drop after the open; if the close is at the lower end of the range ($71,000-), there may be a rebound first.
Institutional actions (around the US market): After the US stock market opens (after 21:30 Beijing time), spot ETF funds resume trading. If there is a single-day net inflow of more than $200 million, it will push the price to test the $74,000-$75,000 resistance zone; if there is net outflow, the price may fall below $71,000 to seek support around $69,000.
Key pivot levels (BTC)
Strength/weakness line: $73,500. If price holds effectively above this level, the probability of a bullish close on Monday is high.
Bullish defense line: $70,500. If it breaks down with rising volume, the short-term trend turns bearish, with a target of $68,000-$69,000.
Bearish stop line: $74,500-$75,000. A breakout through this zone will trigger bearish stop-losses and open up upward space.
Risk and strategy
Beware of “painting the gate”: In early Monday trading, liquidity has not fully recovered, making “false breakouts” with sharp rallies and sharp sell-offs more likely. Do not chase trades at the instant of the breakout.
Altcoins lag: If BTC remains range-bound, altcoins on Monday usually perform flat; only after BTC increases volume and chooses a direction will altcoins follow with amplified volatility.
Your move: It is recommended to watch and wait for 1-2 hours on Monday morning, and only act after confirming the outcome of the $73,000 contest. Spot holders should watch the $70,500 support; if it breaks, reduce positions. For futures players, you must wait until the ETF data during the US session lands before looking for opportunities.
The above forecast is based on technical analysis and capital flow analysis and does not constitute investment advice. As Monday’s volatility picks up, strictly control your position size.
