#GateSquareAprilPostingChallenge Trump Consider Continuing Military Attacks on Iran, Oil Rises Again to $105

Donald Trump is reported to be considering the continuation of military strikes against Iran alongside the ongoing Strait of Hormuz blockade. According to a Wall Street Journal report, this escalation threat has triggered a renewed surge in global oil prices, reaching over $105 per barrel. Trump is also pressuring allies to take responsibility for military escort in the energy corridor.
Trump specifically threatened to destroy Iran's vital infrastructure, including power plants and desalination facilities. "I hate to do it, but their facilities are very easy to hit," Trump emphasized. Despite issuing threats of physical attack, the White House said the President remains open to diplomatic solutions if Iran agrees to comply with Washington's demands.
However, hopes for peace have diminished after the "Islamabad MoU" negotiations this weekend reached a dead end. Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, accused the US of unilaterally changing points of the agreement as negotiations were nearly complete. The failure of diplomacy and threats of military strikes have put the global energy market in a state of high uncertainty.
